Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

I ate here years ago and the portions were huge (sadly this is NO longer the case). To pay almost $20 for 4 tiny scallops and 4 small shrimp is way over the top! My friend had to send her Caesar salad back because it was wilted, brown, light green bitter lettuce. Note that if you order broccoli as a side it has a weird Asian sauce that tastes weird when paired with a seafood dish!! The zucchini appetizer is awesome and I would come back just for that! The risotto and sausage appetizer was lacking flavor and the sauce served with it tastes like jar spaghetti sauce. Expresso was wonderful, not at all bitter. Table bread was just meh, too much salt in the oil dip. Our server was very sweet and apologized for the sad salad. Considering the cost versus portion, I won't be back.

UPDATED DAY AFTER I've now taken Carrabba's down to 2 stars from 3, for two reasons. 1) Remember the dessert they didn't have when I picked up my order? So that was some chocolate coconut mousse they were out of, and I settled on two of the other "sweet mini dessert" (clearly a pleonasm), which was called "Dessert Rosa" and described as "Delicious butter cake topped with pastry cream, bananas, strawberries, pineapple and whipped cream". Only one problem: that's not whipped cream upon my buds' closer examination - clearly some kind of ersatz non-dairy white fluff. So is taking away half a star just for using "topping" as harsh as giving Jordyn Wieber 14.666 for one little step out of bounds on the floor exercise? (in case you're scratching your head, we're talking Olympics here) Hell no!! Here's why - if you go out of your way to describe a fake topping as "whipped cream", you're totally dishonest, for one thing, and for another, you're basically calling your consumers "stupid", because you don't think we can tell the difference. That's an affront and a HUGE mistake in this consumer-dominated world of social media. TOGETHER, we're VERY smart. The other markdown is also for dishonesty, or just sloppiness - not sure which. Upon closer examination, I found out that my request for "lighter treatment" was NEVER put on the kitchen order, which came attached to the bag. I get it that you don't or can't or don't want to do "special requests" like "lighter" "less oil please" or "no extra butter pls" - that's YOUR prerogative. What you CANNOT do is put in a system where you're faking the consumer into thinking you can do a special request by presenting that option, and then totally ignoring it. So, I don't know - is it really worth the aggravation to go back?

This is by far the most consistant chain restaurant in the Orlando area! Excellent food always! We eat here about once a week because it's always great! Fish is wonderful so is the chicken or even the Filet! Happy hour is before 7pm and the Sangria is the best around. Save room for the best dessert-the John Cole-ice cream with Carmel and sugar pecans. Sounds simple but is amazing! Service is outstanding!

The food is decent but no where near as good as they say it is, trust me. The service...meh....

If you don't know anything about Italian food, or you haven't been to Italy, or if you believe commercial advertisements, you might think that this immense chain crapfest is actually run by the Carrabba boys instead of piping it in from Austin by freezer truck. Try the industrial quality pasta, and greasy food! Robotic wait staff will stuff your gullet with wads o' fewd! If you want to entertain yourself try changing anything on the menu, or asking the staff what "putanesca" means. Beware of the house wine! ONE LIMP FORK.

we once had a valentines celebration here. and if i recall correctly, they messed up our order so badly. we did accidently break one of their glasses. oops. they were gracious about that though. all in all an experience i would never want to repeat.

I ate at a Carrabba's many years ago and didn't like it and never went back! My son has been asking to go to the one here in Winter Springs, so finally today I gave in...couple things that bothered me, they don't have a lunch menu. So, anything you order is full on dinner size and price! I just think all restuarants should have a lunch menu if you are open for lunch! And, the other thing that pisses me off, is I hate when a server asks if you want something extra added to something you ordered and doesn't tell you that it is an extra cost! Did the small spoonful of blue cheese crumbles on my salad taste good...yes. Did I need them....no. Would I have said yes to them if I had known they were $1.50 extra...HELL NO! I can buy an entire container for that price! So, on to the food. I will say that the food was actually pretty dam good! We got an order of the cheese sticks which were really tasty. My son ordered a pizza with sausage and meatballs and honestly it was cooked to perfection. It was really good! I ordered the Lobster, Shrimp and scallop cannelloni. It was topped with crabmeat, which was rather dry, but the actual meal was pretty good. There were 2 cannelloni's, which was plenty of food for me, but for the price and if it was dinner, it should be at least 3 of them. There was only 1 small piece of lobster out of the 2 that I actually noticed. But, again, it was very flavorful and yummy! All in all, good experience and I may be able to persuade my husband to go back and get a pizza!

I love Carrabba's, and the last time I went, I had a friendly waitor. As always, the food and wine are excellent! The ambiance is romantic as well.
